The cycles of life are inevitable and can be a synonym to time - just like rust. You can avoid it, brush it away, but it will always come back, proving the impermanence of everything and anything.

This pendant is a reminder of all that is temporary and transitory, a memento to enjoy the little things in life and fall in love with the brief existence we have here on earth.
